This place has earned a spot in my local favorites list! Host/Cashier was a very nice young lady. She had patience for us which I was so thankful for since we mentioned we'd never been before. After we ordered and paid, we sat down at a table and waited. Time was very respectable and she brought the plates out to us. Oh my goodness y'all. When I tell you everything on that plate was delicious, it was absolutely Dee-lish-ouuss! Seasoning was the right amount, everything was nice and hot, and portion size had me very happy. Such a pleasant experience here. It was also very nice to see and read articles on the wall of the chef and his framed pieces of history. I love when local businesses show how proud they are of their accomplishments. And this man definitely SHOULD BE with the dishes he's making here. If you're on this side of town, make it a point to try this place for sure!

The food here was absolutely delicious! I had blackened fish, plantains, and a garden salad, and it was out of this worldโฆ Great service and totally awesome place . I would eat here every day if I could. Itโs a wonderful spot and you have to try it out.
Very flavorful food. Great spot. The service was wonderful. All the Food came out fresh and hot. The jerk chicken was on point. Meat coming off the bone. The owner came out to check on us and the food. The shrimp tacos were great also.
After seeing this spot on social media for some time now, since being in the the area for the Thanksgiving weekend I stopped by. It was definitely worth the drive. Felt like I was eating a plate from home. ???????? Will be back again when I am in the area.
This was my first time at Virgin Island Thyme and I was not disappointed! The ribs, tacos and the plantains were great! Though, the fried foods fell short. They had a weird grease taste about them. The staff was helpful and friendly. Overall, good experience!
The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The place was clean. I definitely recommend the oxtail. It was perfectly braised, and the Mac and cheese was yummy. The jerk chicken was falling off the bone. It's a little pricey but worth the flavor of the food.
This was our first time trying this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The prices were online for the quality and portion size. The Owner and chef, Mr. Thomas personally came out and asked how everyone's meal was, which was incredible. The beef empanada was amazing. The pork taco was excellent. My son's shrimp scampi was great. The 3 highlights were the Caribbean corn, sweet plantains, the Mac and cheese. So the were improvable flavor and quality. We will definitely come here again.
The BEST food in Orlando hands down. Iโve never had food with so much flavor & the portion sizes were amazing. I wish I lived closer, I would be a regular customer. The oxtail, rice & greens are the go to!
